Howard Prairie Lake is generally considered by fishermen and Fish and Game authorities alike to be among the finest rainbow trout fisheries in the Northwest. The lake is stocked annually with approximately 375,000 fingerling trout. Adult Rainbows typically range from 12 to 20 inches in length and weigh from 1.5 to 3 pounds. Howard Prairie is also home to quite a few smallmouth and largemouth bass and is quickly becoming a favorite haunt for the regional bass fishermen.
