| Howard Prairie Lake is a favorite destination for sailors of all experience levels. The Resort at Howard Prairie is the "home port" of most of the Rogue Valley's sailors and the sailing headquarters of the Rogue Yacht Club (RYC), Southern Oregon's premier sailing club. www.rogueyachtclub.org Members of the RYC enjoy a series of sailboat races and social activities, including moonlight cruises, poker runs, relay races, the Johnston Trophy and the Howard Prairie Regatta. The RYC also hosts at least one "Free Sail" day each summer for resort visitors to jump aboard an RYC member's boat and be taken for a little cruise on the lake. |
